Picture perfect San Francisco summer day in my LBD
This is my picture perfect summer in San Francisco. I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to explore this great sunny state – something I have not done. It was on my list to drive the beautiful US Highway 1 Coast at some point. I didn’t know when and under what circumstances I would be experiencing the drive. Why limit it to a drive when I could live here for a season? The decision to live in San Francisco and the Bay Area for the summer was primarily driven by the wind and kiteboarding. I didn’t expect to see so many beautiful places and meet so many beautiful people here. There is no question life in San Francisco and California in general is wonderful. The confusion lays where my heart still dwells.
I love the flair and flavor of this Maui dress/skirt with my LBD for an afternoon stroll in Crissy Field.
Simple elegance. I love it when you find the pieces that express how you feel for the day. The layered skirt/dress is from a flea market in Maui and the embroidered rose that adorns my hair is from three years ago; it was a present from my fave boutique Loopy Mango in Dumbo (sadly, now closed). All these pieces together are brilliant for travel! The shoes are from three years ago too – very comfy shiny flats from Marc Jacobs – a timeless brand.
